A.C.T.I.O.N. Anti-Tobacco Victory!

On October 14th, the NYC Council passed Intro 433-A, prohibiting the sale of flavored tobacco products in NYC, including cigars, little cigars and smokeless tobacco.  A.C.T.I.O.N. in partnership with the American Lung Association (ALA) of New York originally introduced this bill in 2006.  This is among the STRONGEST and first bills of this kind in the nation!  The Council's bill goes further than the recently enacted federal FDA regulation of tobacco (which only banned flavored cigarettes) and yet it passed with a vote of 46-1.  Go A.C.T.I.O.N.!
