Dear Community Members,
It has recently been brought to our attention that a man has been seen near several social service and employment agencies in the South Bronx claiming to be a job recruiter for THE POINT and other nonprofit organizations. PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE HIM. HE DOES NOT WORK FOR THE POINT!
He is seeking your personal information, including your social security number. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY INFORMATION OR COMPLETE ANY EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION HE MAY PROVIDE. He is part of an identity theft ring and does not work for THE POINT or any other community organization.
This man is described as a tall Hispanic male in his mid 50's with dark brown eyes and short dark brown hair.
