CALL FOR ARTISTS
LOGO DESIGN CONTEST FOR THE SOUTH BRONX COMMUNITY RESILIENCY AGENDA
Winner will receive a $200 top cash prize!

Background:
The South Bronx Community Resiliency Agenda (SBCRA) will engage local communities in creating a comprehensive climate resiliency agenda that will strengthen both the physical and social resiliency of the South Bronx. This highly visible project will enable THE POINT and the New York City Environmental Justice Alliance (NYC-EJA) to strategically influence the next phases of the Hunts Point “Lifelines” project – a recent winner of the HUD-sponsored Rebuild By Design (RBD) competition.

Goals of the Logo Design:
Design a logo for the South Bronx Community Resiliency Agenda that visually represents the project.  This logo will be prominently featured on all South Bronx Community Resiliency Agenda materials and paraphernalia including the website, social media platforms and other mediums (flyers, t-shirts etc), as well as on the entrance to the SBCRA Lab residing in THE POINT’s main campus.  All designs should be eye-catching, legible, easily translatable to various mediums and potentially represents aspects of the following themes: Climate Justice, Environmental Justice, Community Resiliency, The South Bronx and Bronx River Revitalization, Community Revitalization, Local Leadership of All Ages, Cultural Movement Building, Education and Stewardship.

Prizes:
1st place: $200
2nd place: $100
3rd place: $50

Guidelines:
Your submission must be in pdf format with 300 dpi or higher resolution. If the submission is hand-drawn, please scan the file and submit as a pdf. Entries must be submitted via email to: info@thepoint.org
Your email MUST contain: full name, date of birth, address, email & working phone number.
The contest is open to artists of all ages and mediums. Color: There are no limitations and any colors may be used. However, the logo must be appealing in both color and black and white. x Winners will be announced at thepoint.org on July 18, 2016.
