Arts & Advocacy: THE POINT's Youth Development
Program
This central feature of THE POINT’s services offers after-school programming throughout the school year in addition to summer programming for 300 Hunts Point young people in grades 1-12. Through justice-based arts and service learning activities, THE POINT’s youth programs aim to support the academic, artistic and positive social development of young people and engage them as active participants in community development.
THE POINT's youth programs have been the recipients of awards including the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities Coming Up Taller Award and the Union Square Award.
