Arts & Advocacy: THE POINT's Youth Development
Program
This central feature of THE POINT’s services offers after-school and summer programming for 500 Hunts Point young people in grades 1-12. Through justice-based arts and service learning activities, THE POINT's Arts and Advocacy Youth Development Program aims to support the academic and pre-professional, artistic and positive social development of young people and engage them as leaders in sustainable community development.
THE POINT's youth programs have been the recipients of awards including the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities Coming Up Taller Award and the Union Square Award.
