Campaign for New York’s Future – The Campaign for New York’s Future is a coalition of civic, business, environmental, labor, community and public health organizations that support the goals and strategic direction of PlaNYC. Our goal is to make every neighborhood in NYC a great place to live and work, as well as make a significant contribution to fighting climate change.
Communities United for Transportation Equity (COMMUTE) – This Pratt Institute-led program is a citywide coalition of community and civic organizations organizing for transit investments that work for low-income New Yorkers.
NYS DEC Environmental Justice Advisory Group – Consisting of representatives from state, local and federal government, community groups, environmental groups, and business, the Advisory Group meets several times a year and provides independent advice and recommendations to the Department on matters relating to environmental justice (EJ), including the integration of EJ principles into the Department’s programs, policies, regulations, legislative proposals and activities.
Mothers on the Move (MOM) – Mothers on the Move / Madres en Movimiento (MOM) is a leader in the South Bronx, bringing community members together since 1992 to identify priority needs and build successful campaigns that produce qualitative improvements in residents’ lives.
Nos Quedamos – Nos Quedamos is a non-profit community development corporation comprised of residents, homeowners, and business owners from the South Bronx who are committed to promoting, supporting, and advancing ideas of healthy and sustainable growth, both for local communities and the larger society.
NYC Environmental Justice Alliance (NYCEJA) – An umbrella organization comprised of member groups based in low-income communities throughout New York City, NYCEJA co-powers its member organizations to fight against environmental injustice by the coordination of citywide campaigns.
Southern Bronx Watershed Alliance (SBRWA) – The Southern Bronx River Watershed Alliance is a collaboration among community-based and city-wide organizations who wish to see a new community on the Sheridan. Through consensus building among community stakeholders, SBRWA works toward a vision of the southern Bronx River watershed that includes a healthy environment, a prolific economy and a community that reaps the benefits of the river as a rich natural resource.
Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice – Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice has as its goal the leadership development and formation of young people for a life of peace and justice. We have found that the key to a successful youth development program is to be able to engage youth and inspire them to leadership through civic participation, while remaining attentive to their multiple developmental needs.
