Afro-Descendants can be found all over the world, concretely the Caribbean and all throughout the Americas. To persist in their resistance of ancestral trauma, they have rebelled in subtler ways by keeping their folklore alive, as well as their individuality wherever they go. This year, Fem Flava is dedicated to the importance of womxn identified people who have maintained retention of our culture and the healing of our community. ALL children of the Diaspora are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Fem Flava is a conference for womxn of color in the Bronx that connects them to the community through local resources and networks. The conference promotes a safe space where womxn can engage in a discourse that challenges and redefines feminism and the way it impacts our daily lives. The community is invited to attend workshops, performances and more. Food, refreshments, and raffles throughout the day. Youth groups are strongly encouraged to attend.
