Join us for NOCD-NY’s peer learning exchange on Cultural Hubs and Community Anchors, highlighting examples in the Bronx, and hosted by THE POINT CDC.
We will share experiences and information about the role and value of hubs and anchors as a key part of equitable and culturally vital communities.
In this interactive exchange we will discuss how hubs, anchors, and their local networks strengthen community health, integrate arts and culture into community organizing, and further social and environmental justice.
We will also answer the question: What is needed for these vital groups to survive and thrive in New York City neighborhoods and what can we do to make this happen?
Including:
THE POINT CDC
The Laundromat Project’s Kelly Street Collaborative
La Morada…and more!
Join us for extended conversations (optional):
9:30-10:00am: coffee and a light breakfast at THE POINT
12:00-1:30pm: visits and tours in the South Bronx, including the option of lunch at La Morada
